Academic training
The Sustainable development and cooperation PhD programme is designed to provide analytical know-how, methodological and practical abilities to help students gain knowledge on the rapidly deteriorating situation of natural, social, and economic environments.
Students will gain a broader understanding of how these spheres affect each other, by applying comparative, evolutionary, multidisciplinary and neuroscience approaches.
During their PhD, students will learn about sustainable practices by conducting research and training activities across different disciplines, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds. The research needed to optimise sustainable systems will require students and staff to push current boundaries (scientific and disciplinary) and will be implemented thanks to the cooperation and interconnection of teams supervised by professors of the PhD board.
Each student will have 2 tutors, experts in 2 different ERC domains, in order to share their existing experience and skills in ecological, cultural, social, and economic sustainability.
